I've been dappling into film format photography

Now I have to say that everywhere you look when it comes to modern day photography is in full force digital format. Digital photography is not only exciting but it seems like everytime you turn around there's something even more interesting to research, examine and bring home. However there is excitement still to be had and not simply if you are one of the many on a tight budget these days, it's film photography and the results can be just as amazing. And surprisingly enough, film is not dead.

When I was a little girl growing up in New Orleans my father was a weekend wedding photographer. Even as a young child I discerned my father's enjoyment in capturing moments that would never come again. Freezing time as it were. I remember sharing in the excitement of viewing the family photos he took of my brother and sister and I in the backyard just playing around. Or just about anywhere for that matter. There was something magically about FotoMat.:)

Now I find myself snapping some 35mm film in my Minolta Maxxum 5 SLR and just as days long gone by yet fondly remembered I look forward with great anticipation when that white photo print envelope is handed over to me.

Here are some of my photos that were diy scanned at home. I had to improvise since the disc drive on my laptop ceased to function for me. Yet, the results are unique and in a way beautiful and artistic as well.

Judy Elliott Photography is now available for you!!!

My dad always said, "If you love what you do then you'll never work another day in your life." I feel I am blessed to feel that way about all that I do. And this includes photography.

On a constant quest for deeper understanding and self education I will never know everything there is to know but that is truly the fun part. Continually growing, learning and improving.

If you are looking for someone who is easy going, adaptable, and fun loving to capture you and your loved ones memories then I could be the perfect photographer for you.

On this blog you will find samples of my work. Give me a call to schedule your photographic visit to my studio or I can shoot on location or in your home. I can capture families, babies, children, pets, events, ladies night out, showers, and more. My patient attention to detail translates to wonderful photos for you and your family.
